Christy was invited to participate in the Baltimore CenterStage “My America” project to celebrate the theatre company’s 50th Anniversary. 50 playwrights (including Christopher Durang, Neil LaBute, and Anna Deveare-Smith) wrote 50 monologues for 50 actors (including Terry O’Quinn, Michael Emerson, Bobby Cannavale, and Carrie Preston) to explore the question, “what is America?” Christy plays an homage to Teen Miss South Carolina, who famously stated that she was sad that people don’t have maps, “like such as in the Iraq.”
