Bio



Christy McIntosh, a transplant from San Francisco,made her New York City debut in the Off-Broadway comedy Elvis and Juliet, starring comedian Fred Willard, and subsequently appeared at New World Stages as Annie/Shelly in Evil Dead: The Musical.  Her recent appearance at Hartford Stage and George St. Playhouse earned her rave reviews in Theresa Rebeck’s, “The Scene”, where she played the role of Clea.

A versatile actress, singer, and comedienne, Christy is well known in the San Francisco Bay Area for her three year run as Snow White in the world’s longest running musical revue, Steve Silver’s Beach Blanket Babylon. During her tenure with the show, Christy has performed with such legends as Tony Bennett, Michael Feinstein, Frederica von Stade, Michael Tilson-Thomas, Helgi Tommason and Olympia Dukakis.

Other favorite SF Bay Area credits include Debbie Benton in the West Coast premiere of Debbie Does Dallas: The Musical, Kissin’ Kate Barlow in Louis Sachar’s Holes at the historic Orpheum Theater, Shelley in Ray of Light Theatre’s Bat Boy: the Musical , and Cathy in The Last 5 Years at off-Market Theatres. Undergraduate degrees include a B.A. in Theater and English from Santa Clara University with an emphasis on commedia dell’arte and classical drama. Post-graduation, she continued her studies at the esteemed American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco. Christy is also a founder/writer/performer for the sketch comedy group, Honorable Mention.
